Countdown to the 2020 Doncaster Classic Car & Bike Show

The Doncaster Classic Car & Bike show has gone virtual for the 2020 season.  If it’s good enough for the Formula 1 2020 season to race virtually then its good enough for us.  With the way things have gone this year the decision was made to hold the show virtually.  So get your fix of the 2020 classic car and bike show season by visiting the new website – www.Doncasterclassiccarshow.org – Grab some refreshments from your own kitchen then wander through the exhibits virtually on the dedicated website.  If you want to display your own vehicle simply send in a picture and add a caption.  All we ask is that you give a donation to local good causes (more details on the website).

Now in its 14th year the show is held virtually at the website www.Doncasterclassiccarshow.org organised in conjunction with the Doncaster St Georges Rotary club and the Traditional Car Club of Doncaster.  All proceeds from the show are distributed by the Rotary club to local good causes.  In the past this has included charities, Scout groups, schools, libraries, support groups to name but a few – so not only is it a good day out but a chance for us all to support the local community, whilst enjoying these lovingly kept vehicles and taking a trip down motoring memory lane.

Entertainment

In addition to the displays of vehicles there is a virtual stage where the bands who were scheduled to appear at the original show can be found.  On the same page we are also glad to be able to bring you the sounds of the show.  Simply go to the “Sounds of the show” page where you can click and hear some of the exhibits of the show and maybe even test your ability to recognise which exibits you are listening to.

The Grits Band

THE ‘GRITS’ (formerly True Grit band), hit the road towards the end of 2014, and have since built up a reasonable size fan base thru their music, which consists mainly of ‘covers’ from the 60’s/70’s Pop/Rock/Soul & Funk genres, BUT, played with a hard edge and a little ‘attitude’ – (No Heavy Rock or Grunge).
